Coverage depends on your policies underwriting. We can give you advice based on our past experience but the best way to find out if your loss is covered is to call your insurance agent to guide you thru the process.
What is my deductible?
Your deductible is the amount you agreed to pay usually 250, 500, or 1000 dollars in repairs before your insurance company will begin coverage.
Who do I pay my deductible to?
It depends on the type of loss. Many times a contractor will request you pay the deductible up front as a form of deposit before work begins. This is typical in all losses except fire damage.
How much of this work does my insurance company cover?
That’s all depends on the cause of the loss and coverage. Pull out your policy or call your agent. In some cases we may be able to help you if you can’t contact them immediately.
Will you waive my deductible?
In the case you do not have the funds to cover your deposit upfront we will offer you a way to cover it depending on the type of the loss. Sometimes your adjuster will take the deductible out of the contents portion of the loss. This situation is handled on a case by case basis and is easily over come. McCardel Restoration is here to help you in your time of need regardless of whether you pay the deductible upfront or not.
Do I have to hire the contractor my insurance company recommends?
No. The insurance company can recommend you use someone where they have had good results, though it is not legal for them to force you into a contractor of their choice. The decision is yours to make. Just be sure the scope of work is agreed upon with your insurance company and contractor.
How long will my restoration take?
The turn-around time for your restoration services depends on the type and size of loss. Please contact our office to provide information on your loss and we will calculate a definitive answer.

Will you bill my insurance company directly?
Yes, we work with all insurance companies and deal directly with your adjuster to agree upon the scope and price of work.
Am I allowed to upgrade any materials or make changes to my floor plan while the reconstruction takes place?
Yes! We will work with you to rebuild your home any way you want. We extend our discounted builders pricing to you on upgrades on materials for your home throughout the restoration process.
